Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers

Greg’s Pick: Green Bay Packers. Way back when, I predicted the winner of the Eagles/Packers game would go to the Super Bowl, well I gotta stick with my guns here. During the regular season, the Steelers were 2-4 vs playoff teams, that’s not very good. I still think they are overrated going into this game. While they do carry the experience into the game, it really doesn’t mean that much (ie: 2007, 2008, etc). The Packers are on fire, the only thing that could slow them down is this two week break. I think this game will be close in the first half, and then turn into a shoot out, in which the Steelers will not be able to keep up. Final score: Packers 30 – Steelers 17

Gen’s pick: Green Bay Packers. Here we are at the end of another NFL season. With the threat of a lockout, this might be the last NFL post on this blog. So that’s why I’m going to be as brief as possible. Doesn’t make sense? Well neither did the Seahawks making it to the playoffs and knocking off the Saints, so there. Packers will win because they seem like much more of an explosive team. Their o-line does extremely well to hold back the defense, which gives good ol’ Aaron Rogers enough time to do what he does best, completing passes to his very talented receivers. Not to mention with Clay Matthews and the rest of the Green Bay defense playing like they are, Big Ben might be in trouble. The true test is whether they can take that man down, because that is a tough task to do. I think it’ll start off as a close game, but the Packers will eventually pull away. Final Score: Packers 31 – 21
