Back in April, we introduced you guys to a little tune titled Like A G6 by Far East Movement. We knew it was going to be a big song, but we didn’t expect it to be that huge of a hit. Well, it seems like this group of Azn’s are back with a follow-up song that’s equally as catchy and will probably find its own popularity when it makes it was around the radio and clubs. Greg, one of the writers of this blog, has always had one ultimate dream – to be the Rocketeer. You remember him right? You know, the jet pack, metal mask wearing hero from the 1991 movie? Well unfortunately, this song is not about him, but it does feature Ryan Tedder from One Republic. I’m not going to lie, I’m really feeling this Bruno Mars co-written song and I guarantee you’ll be singing the chorus by the end of the song. Check out “Rocketeer” below:

Unless you’ve been living under a rock somewhere, you should’ve heard Cee Lo Green‘s epic single F**k You from his upcoming album. His follow up single isn’t as vulgar but it’s funky as isssshhh. Oh mah goodness. This song definitely has a 70’s feel to it, with the strings and the pulsing baseline. It makes me want to strut down a street or drive around in a big city. It seems that Mr. Green will be exploring the more melodical side of things instead of the hip-hop/rap we’re used to hear from him – but from what I heard so far, I’m not complaining at all. So get your strut on and listen to “Bright Lights, Bigger City”:

Jay Sean has pretty much dedicated himself to making club bangers and Top 40 radio songs, and that’s a good thing. This song is heavy on the bass, heavy on the synth instrumentals, and heavy on the seductive lyrics. It also features Lil Wayne‘s “daddy,” Baby aka Birdman from Cash Money. It’s nothing you haven’t heard before, but it’s a good enough song to be recognized. Check out “Like This Like That”:

So I think this is the closest I’ve ever heard Ke$ha actually rap and not sing talk like she normally does. She almost has an M.I.A. type of sound in this song combined with maybe Nicki Minaj. Either way, it’s not her usual obvious pop synth songs. It’s nice to see that she can step outside of that and try something else. And in this case, it’s actually for the better. What do you think?
