Your Thursday Mixtape: Vol V

3 Jun

I was looking for a lead track into this mixtape for a while. And then stumbled upon some new Kid Cudi. His newest song (available free off his site), has him rapping over the LCD Soundsystem song “Dance Yrself Clean.” What comes out is a great new hit.

Kid Cudi Feat. Chip Tha Ripper – All Talk

Faded Paper Planes are one of those bands you just can’t help but like. They took a hiatus for a little while, but are back with a great new album that was released last week. Go check it out. [Buy Here]

Faded Paper Planes – Invent it All Again

Even more mp3’s after the jump!

The Knew are a band you should know (see what I did there?) Their recent album has been creating tons of buzz (thanks to their performance at SXSW). I’m not sure if I even like this type of music, but The Knew are so good, I like them. [Buy Here]

The Knew – My Meridian

MIA has released yet another track, and how fitting of a title – “Haters,” because I know a lot of you besides me didn’t like her first single “Born Free.” [Get Here]

M.I.A. – Haters

Ready to get your feet moving? Check out Kids of 88, a new duo from New Zealand who’s album comes out later this summer. If this song is any indication of the future – get ready to dance. [Buy Here]

Kids of 88 – Just A Little Bit

La Roux is so good. Their track “Bulletproof” gave them some recognition on the radio, but if you actually go listen to their album – its amazing. Here is one of my favorites off the self-titled album. [Buy Here]

La Roux – Tigerlily

With our main man TI now out of jail – he can once again be featured on every song – such as Killer Mike’s new track. Awesome.

Killer Mike feat. T.I. – Ready Set Go

Mash Up of the Mixtape:

Dead Prez and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah – Hip-Hop (Dave Wrangler Remix)

Throwback Jam of the Week: In honor of him losing 50+ pounds.

50 cent – In Da Club
