California Gurls (feat. Snoop Dogg) – Katy Perry

Oh dear. Allow me to introduce you to this Summer’s jam. I’m also expecting this to be used for numerous Facebook photo albums. I’m not going to lie – this song is awesome. As the first official single off of Katy Perry‘s new album, Teenage Dream, California Gurls” has a funky, poppy sound to it. There’s no denying it’s a “Summer song.” Apparently it was written as a response to Jay-Z/Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind.” Check out “California Gurls (feat. Snoop Dogg)” below and put it on repeat. SUMMER IS HERE FOLKS!

Zoosk Girl (feat. T-Pain) – Flo Rida

This is turning into a “Summer Jam” edition of Monday Music Madness. Remember the epic summer song of the Summer of 2008, “Low”? Well they’re at it again. Flo Rida and T-Pain have teamed up to make another song to make its run on the Billboard 100. Awesome beat, catchy hook, and T-Pain = automatic hit. Check out “Zoosk Girl (feat. T-Pain)” and when someone finds out what a “zoosk girl” is, let me know. Thanks!

Bonus:

Winner (feat. Justin Timberlake and T.I.) – Jamie Foxx

You can thank the NBA playoffs for this one. They always play this song right when they’re going to commercial. Now usually, I’m very iffy about songs they use to cut to commercial; but I gave this song a chance, and it’s actually not that bad. I mean, it’s not as good as the song they used during the NFL draft, but it’ll do. Check out Jamie Foxx, Justin Timberlake, and T.I. on “Winner” below and feel kinda inspired.
